In a recent podcast, we had the pleasure of speaking with Steve about VitaTek and the innovative work we're doing as the largest private medical device manufacturer in Minnesota. At VitaTek, we pride ourselves on our vertical in-house integration, offering a full spectrum of services that cover every aspect of medical device development. From R&D and prototyping to regulatory affairs, tooling, die molds, manufacturing, assembly, EO sterilization, and distribution, we handle it all under one roof.
During the conversation, VitaTek CEO, Jason Scherer shares his story of how VitaTek was established, our state-of-the-art headquarters, and the extensive in-house capabilities that truly set us apart in the medical device industry. For more information about our company, visit www.vitatek.io.
Jason also dives into the specifics of our in-house mold manufacturing, where we’re able to produce injection die molds in just 14 days, with revisions completed within 48 hours. We discussed the critical role mold flow analysis plays in our Design for Manufacturing (DFM) process, ensuring we deliver the highest quality products.
Our commitment to innovation extends to our significant investment in 3D printing technology, which allows us to rapidly prototype and scale up to large-scale production. I highlighted our use of the Prusa XL 3D printer for multi-material printing, which has been a game-changer for our operations.
Additionally, Jason speaks about our motivation for launching HydrophilicCoating.org, a resource created to address common industry frustrations. Emphasizing how our in-house sterilization capabilities have revolutionized the process, reducing validation times from nine months to just two weeks, allowing us to bring products to market faster than ever.

Jason is a leech who does not pay his engineers, wants to take over the world by making everyone else do the hard work but taking all the credit for it. He acts like a family man but his actions would suggest something else. Overcharging for regulatory affairs consultation and acting like they are some sort of saviours of the medical device industry.
Jason has the audacity to say vitatek is great when they can't deliver my products on time. Hope Matt and Justin are having fun being your lackeys since they have no spine just like Jason, a idiot who will take your money but won't deliver your products.
